John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. "
There have been so many miracles each day, and I want to write about one specifically to encourage each of you who are sacrificing time in your day to pray for my dad and family. At about 8:00pm Sunday night, I found myself driving north on 101 toward Belmont with a tired and weary soul. It had been a long six days, and I was struggling with thoughts of not being able to see and pray with my dad on Monday. (I had found a wonderful routine of praying with and for him at the end of each day - leaving him with great peace as I turned out the light and assured him we'd all be back the next day). I hadn't eaten, so I pulled off in Gilroy for an In-and-Out burger. When I turned in, the line for drive thu was a good 8 or 9 cars. I sighed, as I thought parking and going in. It was late, and I was thinking about having to work in the morning. I went in, ordered my food and remembered that I had my Bible in my purse. I figured that I'd read some scripture as I waited, hoping to find a word of encouragement to feed my heart. Soon, the man sitting next to me got up for something, and I noticed that he had the scripture John 3:16 (written above) on his t-shirt. Obviously, he was one to read the Bible. As he came back, I said, "Nice shirt." And, he looked down at my Bible, and we began to share about God and His Word. His wife, Marilee, was a nurse, and she had had experiences with a loved one suffering a stroke. Their compassion immediately comforted my heart, and the husband (David) quickly remind me of the faithfulness and hugeness of God. My heart took peace, as I was reminded that each one of these days and all of my family are safely in the Hands of the Almighty God. Soon enough, they both offered to pray. And, there at In-and-Out, we bowed our heads and lifted up my dad to the Lord. We huged, and I went on my way - completely changed from when I walked in. My heart was filled with amazement of how God will orchestrate our lives to meet us and show us that He loves us. He loves my family and that He is in complete control. With that, I want to thank you for praying. God is answering your prayers! He is more than able to arrange Divine Appointments for all of His children to come to an understanding of His deep and eternal love.

He loved us so much that He sent His son, Jesus, to hang on the cross. I do not know of any deeper love than that. Yet, we all know what happened after the cross. He conquered death and rose again! It's no accident that next Sunday is Easter Sunday. Just before us on the calendar, we ALL have the hope and reminder of God's power and faithfulness.
In closing, I would like to ask you to keep Carolyn in your prayers. She has been wonderfully surrounded by the kids, but as we come and go, she is the one who needs daily strength, encouragement and a constant and always renewing hope. Thank you.
ps: Next time you are at In-and-Out, flip over a medium sized soda cup, and you will find "John 3:16" written on the edge of the bottom. That is no accident, either. :) May God receive all the glory and praise!
Blessings to you all,
Annie
